VCHA has been a cornerstone of the Hispanic community since 1995, promoting cultural awareness, supporting education, and empowering families throughout Volusia County as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our vision is a Volusia County where the Hispanic community thrives with equal access to opportunity, where cultural heritage is celebrated, and where every family has the resources and support to build a bright future.

That work happens through four pillars: cultural celebration through events like the Latin Festival and Parrandas that preserve and celebrate Hispanic heritage; education through scholarship programs and school-readiness support like the Back to School Bash; civic engagement by building relationships with local government and encouraging community participation; and family support by connecting families with resources, partnerships, and a supportive community network.

VCHA serves West Volusia County, including Deltona, DeBary, Orange City, and DeLand, through cultural events, education, advocacy, and community outreach. VCHA's headquarters is located at 100 E New York Ave, Suite 103, in DeLand, FL, serving as a hub for cultural celebration and community support across the county.

Signature events include the Latin Festival, the Back to School Bash, Parrandas en el Anfiteatro, and the Mayor's Winter Ball, celebrating Hispanic heritage and giving back to local families. These events reflect VCHA's four pillars of work: promoting cultural awareness, supporting educational advancement, fostering civic participation, and empowering Hispanic families through community partnerships.

The 2026 calendar includes the Back to School Bash on July 26 (free backpacks, school supplies, complimentary haircuts, and health screenings for local children), a Latin Music Concert on September 12, the milestone 30th Latin Festival on September 19 (thousands of attendees enjoying authentic Latin American cuisine, live music and dance performances, and artisan vendors), the 1st Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala on October 16, the Mayor's 2nd Winter Ball on December 11 (a formal dinner, live entertainment, dancing, and auctions), and Parrandas en el Anfiteatro at the Deltona Amphitheater on December 19.

Beyond individual donations, VCHA partners with local businesses, organizations, and community stakeholders across West Volusia who sponsor and vend at its signature events — support that directly funds free backpacks and school supplies at the Back to School Bash, scholarship awards for local students, and the cultural programming that fills VCHA's yearly calendar. Beyond its four flagship events, VCHA has also hosted community-partner programming such as the Voices of Vision Conference, an International Women's Day event presented in partnership with Vision and Heels and JMarie on March 6, 2026, giving attendees the chance to move beyond motivation and into massive action.
